Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, Dec. 7

HOLIDAY OBSERVANCES
Hanukkah, Dec. 18-26
This eight-day Jewish celebration commemorates the rededication during the second century B.C. of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Hanukkah means “dedication” in Hebrew. For those who celebrate Hanukkah, may you have a joyous festival of lights!

Kwanzaa, Dec. 26-Jan. 1
Kwanzaa is an African American celebration of life. It began as a ritual to welcome the first harvests to the home. The word Kwanzaa comes from the Swahili phrase “matunda ya kwanza” or first fruits. We send warm wishes for a joyful Kwanzaa to those who celebrate!
